Kings Cross Arts Festival - October 14-November 13, 2004
Stencil artists grace Sydney's walls with quirky, positive images that are extremely popular - unlike the tag-style graffiti that arouses so much opposition. It's also more original and individual than typical aerosol art which often borrows its style from American gang culture. Some of Sydney's top artists are coming out during the KX Arts festival and you can watch them as they work, turning ordinary walls into artworks, enlivening and beautifying public space, and showing what they can do when given time and scope. Stencil artists included: Mini Graff, Imago, Numskull, DUCK, Zanny, Bones, ...and many more!
